Work, actions emphasized content not form, nevertheless new procedures, materials came about as by-products of expression:
■ SATURATION PROCESS: application of painting, collage, variety
of acts and projections, often unrelated in content; until work
saturated, filled-up, finished.
■ FLOOR PIECES: Involvement Show, Doom Show, Shit Show,
floor sculpture, assemblages.
■ FIRE: burning candles, “Eichmann Triptych”.
■ TRANSFER PERISHABLE INTO UNPERISHABLE: printed
material into white lead paint like in “Multiplications” and others.
Also “Death Sculpture”, chicken heads cast in plastic.
■ STAMPING: "NO! stamps", "NO! stencils".
■ EARTH-SAND WRITING: letters "NO" written in earth,
then cast in aluminum.
■ COLLECTIVIZATION, DE-INDIVIDUALIZATION: another artist
finishing work by original author, adding or altering it; also
collective work on same object.
■ DEAD ANIMALS: chicken-heads encased in plastic-"Death
sculpture".
■ SYSTEMIC: "NO! Sculptures" (Shit-sculptures).
■ ALTERED PHOTOS: "Adolf Hitler: Happening 1945", "Altered
Man"-Series.
■ ALTERED SIGNS-WORDS CREATED DIFFERENT
MEANINGS: "...UCK", etc.
■ MANIFESTS: "Village Voice", "Involvement Show Brochure",
"Anti-Pop Statement" , etc.
■ SOCIOLOGICAL ART: "American Way of Death"-Show.
■ TORN PAINTING-COLLAGES
■ SURGICAL GRAFTING: bodily features displaced, altered,
interchanged.
■ CONCEPTUAL: "NO", "Critic's Chair", "Luncheonette Menu",
"Liberty or Death".
■ PHYSICAL DESHAPING: heat, weight, extrusion.
Plastic sculptures, car-squashed metal objects; liquid plaster
stoneextrusion via plastic gut: Shit sculptures.
■ MULTIPLICATION OF SIMILAR IMAGES:
"Multiplication"-paintings.
■ MANUFACTURING: mechanically torn, chopped pinups, cast,
manufactured into collage-cardboards, captured in molten wax.
■ MACHINE-MADE OBJECTS, UNALTERED: printing press waste
sheets with uniform silver over-printing, "NO! –Posters".
■ RECYCLING: "NO!-Posters".
■ EXPLANATORY STATEMENT – EQUIVALENT EXHIBITION
ELEMENT: "Anti-Pop" stenciled statements.
■ POLITICAL DEMONSTRATION PIECES: painted car, masks
at Peace Demonstrations.
■ CEILING HUNG, SUSPENDED SCULPTURES –
ASSEMBLAGES: Bomb and Snake", "Rope Object".
